Welcome to divesR.us

This Website has been created by Gary Cameron. Firstly as a way of having a dabble with Joomla and MySQL and then to promote diving and sailing. My main interests are SCUBA Diving, powerboating and although I don't do much of it; sailing. I am based in York and a member of the York Sub-Aqua Club. I am also a bit of a remote member of York Cruiser Training Centre.

I have been diving for nearly 20 years and learnt in the UK so that I could dive in Cyprus when on a familty holiday. In my first ten dives, I dived on the Zenobia in Larnaca Bay. But I must say my all time favourite SCUBA diving area is still Bridlington Bay. (You have to catch it when its good)

This site will contain information that will help anyone thinking of studying Navigation or Diving.

I learnt to dive with a local York BSAC club in 1990. This was because I was going on holiday with the Family to Cyprus and wanted to dive the world famous wreck, Zenobia. My favourite diving area is Bridlington Bay because it has a vast number of fairly untouched wrecks in relatively shallow water. I will be putting together a page on the different sites.

I first did my RYA Day Skipper shore based course (thoery) in 1998.

Any helpful suggestions then use the contact page. It does work.

This website is also somewhat erratic in that it quite often returns an error... Website unavailable. The ISP does not appear to know why this is happening. [Been reported 3 times]

Regards

Gary
